The Protein Ball Co: Raspberry Brownie & Peanut Butter & Jam Review*

The Protein Ball Co: Raspberry Brownie & Peanut Butter & Jam Review*

The Protein Ball Co, my favourite energy ball company may I add, have release two new vegan flavours. The addition of Peanut Butter & Jam and Raspberry Brownie is being launched this January and boy was I ecstatic to give them a try. Just as I couldn’t wait to tuck in, I had to share my thoughts with you and ensure you try some too!

The Protein Ball Co: Peanut Butter & Jam Ingredients & Taste

If you asked me what my favourite sandwich in the whole world would be; it’s peanut butter and jam. My childhood was built around this sandwich and one that always brings comfort wherever I am in the world. To fit this magical combination into a healthy, vegan-friendly and protein packed ball – the ingredients had to deliver. Inside the PB & J balls lie¬†dates, peanuts, brown rice protein, pea protein, blueberries, strawberries and himalayan sea salt. Simple, nutty and fruity – just how I like my snacks and sarnies for that matter.

You have the great ingredients, but did the taste deliver you ask? Yes, it sure did! Even before tasting, the scent of peanut butter wafted beneath my nose. The texture itself was not bitter, lumpy or chewy but rather creamy and rich. The strawberry and blueberry flavours come through and leave a swirling sensation of perfection in your mouth. These are heaven in a protein ball – really.

The Protein Ball Co: Raspberry Brownie Ingredients & Taste

Raw brownies are a delicacy I love to indulge in when I can. Brownies are considered a treat and usually one that doesn’t go easy on the calories or is great for your waistline. That is where these raspberry brownie balls save the day and provide a nutritious, delicious and all natural take on the classic. Inside the raspberry brownie bites you will find dates, cashews, raw cacao powder, pea protein, brown rice protein & freeze dried raspberry powder. Nutty, chocolatey and packed full of protein, these are certainly a guilt-free treat.

If you love raw or dark chocolate – these will be for you. The raspberry pieces are quite tart but punchy, complimented by the rich dark chocolate flavour from the cacao. These offer more texture but with a real brownie like bite – perfect twinned with a coffee or cup of tea. Despite preferring the PB & J variety, these are great to satisfy chocolate cravings with a fruity twist.

They have a similar consistency to the Cashew Cookie Nakd Bar – creamy and smooth with a bit of a crunch. Similar texture indeed but more delicious!

These sounds amazing. I tend to like anything that involves peanut butter so i’m keen to give these a go. How do they compare in texture to say Nakd bars?
