Andean Sol Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Chia Oil Review*

Andean Sol Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Chia Oil Review*

If you love superfoods and getting your daily dose of omega-3, Andean Sol have the answer. Working closely with South American farmers in the Andean community, they have brought the great taste of chia seeds in the form of oil to the UK. The premium brand has just launched two new products, an Olive and Chia Oil and Extra Virgin Chia Oil.

Extra Virgin Chia Oil

Andean Sol Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Chia Oil Review*

The Extra Virgin Chia Oil comes in a beautiful 100ml bottle with a delicate outer label. It contains nearly 65% of pure plant-based omega-3 fatty acids which are not only good for your heart but reduces your risk of memory loss and strokes too. The taste itself is very light and nutty. As it is 100% cold pressed, It is best to consume in a salad dressing or add to a morning smoothie. The taste alone is pleasant enough to eat by the spoonful if you wish to get the omega-3 hit in one go but I’d prefer it drizzled over a hearty salad or added to a green juice.

Extra Virgin Olive & Chia Oil

The Extra virgin Olive and Chia Oil is heavenly. It is not as light and nutty as the chia oil but rather packs a rich and peppery flavour that is bursting with flavour. My favourite way to eat extra virgin olive oil is when dipped in fresh rustic bread, much like an olive roll or wholegrain seeded variety. I also sampled both oils mixed with balsamic vinegar to twin with the bread; a must-try! I am looking forward to making a salad dressing to take in my lunch for work as well as to drizzled on freshly grilled vegetables.

How Much & Where To Buy

The Extra Virgin Chia Oil retails for £9.99 and the Olive and Chia variety for £8.99. Although pricy, these would make a fantastic gift for those who love their superfoods and rich full bodied flavours. You can buy them online directly from their website or order them from Ocado.

Of course not! Thank you for doing so. And I have never tried Grapeseed Oil before – I must give it a go!

Chia Oil – I like it but it’s expensive here. Most oils tend to be I guess but Chia is a biggie! My default is Grapeseed Oil the last few years. I’m new to your blog, btw. Hope you don’t mind me linking you on my side bar and visiting and commenting often!? CHEERS!

Chia oil sounds incredible, definitely something I’d be interested in. Although the only thing I’ve ever tried with Chia oil so far is hair conditioner… 😂
